Parental Advisory is a data visualisation exploring profanity in hip hop music. Analysing 2,577 songs from influential albums released between 1985 and 2018, the project quantifies profane vocabulary across the genre's history. Rather than making moral judgments, it offers visual insight to help others form their own opinions, while celebrating hip hop as a legitimate and culturally significant art form.
