What stories would you build into a library? Bricktoria invited SLV staff to share their favourite library moments, then turned them into LEGO vignettes inside a scale model of the building. Working with Ryan "Brickman" McNaught and his team, the model was designed to show the library's iconic exterior on one side and open up to reveal the interior spaces and the life inside them on the other. The library has since acquired the model, now on permanent display at the Information Centre.
The brief defined both the concept and the content. Staff from across the library were invited to share their SLV stories, and the response was overwhelming. Those stories were curated and turned into scenes and vignettes throughout the model. The brief also set out which spaces to represent, which stories to tell, and how to balance the architectural with the human.
